How You Can Boost Your Metabolism And Burn More Body Fat

Hi guys,

My topic this week is metabolism, I hear a lot of people saying – I struggle to lose weight, I have a low metabolism, I think and sometimes say “Do you know what that even means?” This term is used so much these days with people trying to lose weight – more body fat. Metabolism is genetic, some people have a lower metabolism than others, some have a medium, and some have a higher metabolism. This doesn’t mean you cannot boost and increase your metabolism naturally yourself. Your environment plays a huge part in this,

Higher metabolism means burning more calories, which helps you lose weight and keep it off. If you want to speed up your metabolism naturally, there are a few steps you can take, let’s take a look into a few together. I have spent time reading and researching this topic, and will most certainly be adding some changes to my daily routine to help myself along. I hope you will too.

Interval training can help boost metabolism

As one of our most popular fitness classes we hold in our private gym, the No-Excuse group HIIT workout, which is very popular these days, because its benefits are huge and can help boost your metabolism.

Add some high-intensity interval training to your routine. After a period of interval training, your metabolism can stay revved up for as much as a full day. For example, when you’re walking or jogging on a treadmill or outside, speed up for 30 to 60 seconds, and then slow to your usual pace; repeat the cycle for eight to 12 minutes.

Eating more protein alongside weight training can help boost metabolism

Protein has a higher thermic effect compared to fats and carbohydrates because it takes longer for your body to burn protein and absorb it. Studies suggest the best approach is to combine the correct amount of protein for you and eat more alongside when you weight train, which can increase muscle mass — and this also can boost metabolism.

Drinking Green tea daily can help boost your metabolism

Studies have found green tea contains a compound called epigallocatechin gallate – (EGCG) which may increase the amount of calories and fat you burn. Studies found that consuming about 250 milligrams of epigallocatechin gallate (the amount in about three cups of green tea) helped boost metabolism enough to burn an average of 100 extra calories a day.

Lifting heavy weights can trigger boosted metabolism

Lifting weights or working against our body weight as we bob through push-ups, squats, or chair dips — will noticeably boost our muscles’ size and strength. However, a growing number of studies suggest weight training also improves our metabolisms and reshapes our waistlines. In recent experiments, weight workouts increased energy expenditure and fat burning for at least 24 hours afterward.

Making some small lifestyle changes and incorporating these tips into your daily routine can help increase your metabolism over time and help you become a healthier and better version of yourself.
Having a higher metabolism will help you lose weight and keep it off, if that is your goal, while also giving you more energy, Who doesn’t want that, I know I certainly do.
