How to get back into your fitness schedule quickly – WASTE NO TIME

Hi guys, hope you all had a great summer, and welcome back.

Let’s waste no time as this is the topic today, When you come back from vacation does it take you a week plus sometimes to get back into your routine, the flow let’s say with everything, do you sometimes push the gym to next week… I believe we have all felt a little like this before. Or did you come back super motivated to get into shape within the next couple of weeks as you didn’t like the way you felt, or looked at all vacation?

Neither of the above is a healthy way to come back from your break feeling. Let’s talk more about a more healthy and attainable approach to take, to get back into a solid routine.

Let’s establish long-term fitness habits

1. Identify activities that you enjoy:

Exercise doesn’t have to be a chore. It shouldn’t be. Whether it’s dancing, hiking, swimming, cycling, or hitting the gym with your training partner or coach. Find physical activities you love and look forward to.

2. Set realistic goals:
Focus on progress, not perfection, and think about long-term lifestyle changes. Instead of setting a drastic weight drop of 10 kilos in a month, aim for 1/2 kilo a week. Remember, slow and steady wins the race. If it’s done in a maintainable way, there will be no bounce back, and lost weight won’t be regained.

3. Plan:
Have a workout scheduled in your calendar each day – Along with an alarm to remind you as the day goes on, even if this is just hitting your step count. You will have a clear guide of what your week will entail. Knowing what you’ll do and when, helps maintain consistency and minimizes your wanting to skip workouts.

4. Make it a lifestyle change and built-in habits:

Incorporate physical activity into your daily life – take the stairs, walk to the shops, do a yoga or abs routine in the morning, or try some of my short but effect 10-20 minutes HIIT workouts you can save and find on my Instagram page @carlywillz_fitness

5. Listen to your body:
Rest is as important as exercise. Overworking can lead to injuries and burnout. Find a balance that works for you.

Fitness isn’t just about looking good, it’s about feeling good. It’s about walking into any room – or beach – confident and comfortable. If your holiday was marred by self-consciousness, it’s time to shift the focus from how you look to how you feel. Embrace your body, appreciate what it can do, and treat it well, if you do this consistently the aesthetics will take care of themselves.

We often spend so much time trying to get motivated or have that feeling to get up and go, which is hardly there, we end up not doing anything at all. We miss the point of the journey and adopt the feeling of discipline and determination which will 100% get you wherever you want to be.

Let’s have a vision for next summer – let’s plan our year out together, so we don’t crash diet for a holiday, And let’s avoid the weeks after our holidays procrastinating to get back into routine. Because your fitness habits are so ingrained after you’ve taken time for yourself, you’ve even kept active on your holiday. You’re not just complying with a routine, you’re living a lifestyle that enhances your well-being.

Sounds like a good plan right? Let’s make it happen. Consider scheduling a Consultation Call with me. Together, we can create a fitness plan that suits you, that you enjoy, and that leads to long-term wellness. Don’t just get in shape for a holiday. Get in shape for life.
