Let’s talk about staying on track with your diet and exercise while on vacation.
August is vacation month for most count it’s half term for children, so it’s the better time to take that 2-week break and head out your count and go and explore.
I know most of you follow diets and go to the gym before you go on vacation, but what happens when you get on vacation do you stick to your routine, or does that go out of the window and you fully switch, to no sticking to healthy food choices or doing any movements?
I’m here for you to explain and give an Insite into my vacation to see how I stick to my routine and stay on track.
Moving your body daily should be a must if that’s getting in a 10,000-step count a day – going to the gym 3-5 times per week, swimming, yoga. Whatever it is you do, these are habits you should build daily, rather than doing a crash few weeks to get Into a bikini.
Here’s how I stay active, I go with all intention in my mind to want to move my body and stay active because I like how it gives my mind clarity and clears me ready for the day ahead. So I sat with my why – why I want to stay active and exercise and all Intention to do so and stick to my routine when I’m away as it makes me feel good.
I have come away on vacation for 10 days, I first made sure before coming there is gym access, I then committed and bought gym access, so I will want to use it as I paid for it. This is a great way to commit to going to the gym… But it doesn’t have to be a gym, can be outdoor workouts, walks, and runs.
Secondly, I made sure I was staying in an Apartment with everything I needed around me to make it feel like a holiday home vibe, so I can be able to cook and drink in my own comfort.
Thirdly I got at my own paste, remember I’m still on vacation, and I want to rest and recover so I take my time and do my workouts when I feel I want to and what is in my schedule, but it will always be included in my daily tasks.
Let’s talk about all the temptations around you, in a new environment new foods too. Yes, I’d say all in moderation if you can.. or this is what I do, it may help you stay consistent and not take you off track – I see some things and I feel like I want them such as big ice cream, what I’ll do is wait a few days in… To see all the foods and pick 1-3 treats in the last few days I go and enjoy them… So I take away and remember the treats. Rather than indulging too much daily letting the pounds pile on and feeling lethargic, heavy, and Tierd, I leave with good happy memories, and feeling like I’m one step ahead of my fitness goals going back home.
I hope this gives an Insite into a different point, and if it helps you along while you travel then great ?
Happy summer vacation all enjoy creating happy memories.
